Historic downtown Florence, Arizona is the sight for a New Year’s Eve Block Party on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Florence Parks and Recreation has an all-star lineup of entertainment and activities to offer on the last night of 2016.
The fun begins at 6:00 p.m. and runs to 2:00 a.m. Fireworks, vendors, children’s inflatables, two beer gardens and excellent musical entertainment will close out 2016 and the Town’s 150th Anniversary.
It has been a year of special events to remember Florence’s history and the Block Party will draw the curtain on a year of celebrations.
Ashley Wineland, a well-known country music singer is scheduled as well as the band, Pride through Strife playing reggae music will help ring in everyone’s New Year.
The New Year’s Eve Block Party is free (with the exception of food and drink) and presented by the Town of Florence Parks and Recreation Department.
“It’s been over 16 years since the Town has presented a New Year’s Eve event,” said Ali Feliz, recreation programmer for parks and recreation. “We are excited to organize this for our community and hope everyone can attend.”
